SPRINGTIME IN WOODWARD PARK
Woodward Park is one of the jewels in Tulsa's crown. It is centrally located and thousands of people visit, especially this time of the year. You often see plein air painters with easels set up in the middle of the azaleas and dogwoods or nearby where the magnificent tulips dip and sway in the breeze.
My palette knife classes are practicing painting azaleas using photographs in anticipation of our class visit to the park to paint them en plein air. I am so looking forward to that.
This vertical piece is oil on canvas board, 14x11.
