ARTIST - Mixed Media Drawing on Distressed, Dictionary Page
I am busy working away in my studio preparing to exhibit in Oklahoma City as part of the Paseo Arts Festival May 25th, 26th and 27th. I am going to be selling my mixed media drawings on the pages from old dictionaries. This piece and many others like it will be framed and ready to go to new homes. I hope to see some of my fellow, Oklahoma artists there!

This is a scene of Lake Altus that I had painted years ago. I had never sold the painting, so I decided to repaint the canvas. Its not one of my best, but this version is better than the first. At least I'm not ashamed to display this one.

After a brief hiatus I am back on the easel and creating more drawings on old dictionary pages. I have a lot to accomplish in the next few weeks since I was recently invited to participate in the Paseo Arts Festival in Oklahoma City over Memorial Day weekend. I hope to see some of my fellow, Okie artists there.

The jug in the painting, I found during my Christmas visit to San Antonio. One of my sisters, spoiled me by taking me to the cutest antique shop I have ever entered and gifted me a gorgeous antique glass vase and a beautiful enamel container, both of which I can't wait to include in still lifes.
